500 years ago I was introduced to violence.
52 years ago we were thrust into loss.
20 years ago I was carved out of love.
Last month I linked with grief.
So in the face of the world ending, I surrender my pain and return to love instead.
And that’s where I’m at right now.
These paper houses were given out on opening night for audiences to cut out, fold and draw on their own Love Song house.
Listen to Jermaine Ibarra's interview with Audrey Merton on SYN media's Art Smitten here. He speaks about his artistic process, how to build your own table, the importance of turning your email notifications on and what exists beyond grief and the boxes we’re placed in.
